Uptime settings
Uptime settings control how often Uptimus checks a monitor, how long it waits, which regions are allowed to run checks and when alerts should become active.
Check frequency
Check frequency is how often Uptimus schedules a new check.
Shorter intervals detect incidents faster, but they also create more check data. Your current plan controls the fastest interval available to you.
Timeout
Timeout is the maximum time Uptimus waits for the server to respond.
If the server does not respond before the timeout, the check fails. Use a shorter timeout for APIs that should be fast, and a longer timeout for heavier pages that are still acceptable for your users.
Downtime delay
Downtime delay prevents one-off network blips from waking up the team.
If the monitor fails once but recovers before the delay expires, Uptimus can avoid sending a noisy alert.
Performance delay
Performance delay controls how long a monitor must remain slow before Uptimus notifies you about degraded performance.
This is useful during deploys, traffic spikes or temporary CDN routing changes.
Redirects and SSL
Redirect checks and SSL checks help Uptimus verify the real user journey:
- redirects confirm the final destination is expected;
- SSL checks confirm certificates remain valid;
- cache-busting can help avoid stale responses from edge caches.
